Howdy-hey,

The third Saturday is coming up quick so I thought I better get this contraption dusted off and get to work.

First, I would like to thank Buckeye Pete and Swiftwater for all their help during last months match. Just when I was getting ready to run off screaming into the desert they came to the rescue. Thanks. Second, I would like to thank all of you that helped with the spotting, scoring, timing, brass picking, and all matters that helped the match to run.  Other than getting off to a shaky start, everyone seemed to have a pretty good time.

As many of you know Bordertown has decided to break with tradition this year and hold the Arizona State Championship S.A.S.S. match during the week of the fifth weekend of October instead of the fourth weekend. There will be an Arizona State Wild Bunch Match on the fourth weekend. In light of this Los Vaqueros will still have a 2 Day match on the (Traditional) third weekend of October. This year we will do things just a little differently. It will actually be two matches, one Saturday and one on Sunday. It will be officially known as a 2day Back to Back Match. Normal pricing for each day. That way if you can only make it one day then it is not a problem. If you don’t do very well on Saturday then you can come back out on Sunday to redeem yourself. If you have a really good day on Saturday then you can come out on Sunday and push the envelope. Whichever way you decide, you will have plenty of time to regroup, reload and return for Bordertown. We will plan on having a campfire on Saturday and we might even be able to talk Doc Kendrick into bringing his guitar and may see if Cowboy Doug will share some of his Cowboy Poetry with us. So mark your calendars October 15^th and 16^th
